The A fianl cars, - the gap in yellow is for Ron Kiddell’s car which was in the pits

The winning car, with a close up of the Group 12 motor.

The JK Aeolos chassis and Attan Tesla EVO bodyshell was also the choice of a good many other racers.

Gavin was top qualifier so started the final on red lane.

Eurosport

The 19 competitors raced in 3 groups,
Both Josh Bryant and David Sargent hit car trouble in the 1 min qualifying so didn’t set representative qualifying  times and ran in the C.  Josh fixed his car in the warm up and set race laps that would have qualified second overall.  Josh won the C by over 46 laps from David Farrow.   David Sargent started the race in the pits, and when he did join was quicker than everybody except Josh.  That sort of speed differential isn’t ideal!

Richard Mack won the B final from Steve Pratt by 10 laps.

And so to the A final which was initially led by Barry Gilzean from Gavin Wills and Simon Scott, but they were a little behind Josh’s pace at ¼ distance.   Gavin took the lead, both Simon and Barry retired in the later stages of the race, Simon with a spectacularly bent chassis!  Gavin upped the pace to finish 4 laps up on Josh’s C final time with Ron Kiddell third 21 laps behind Josh with Richard’s B final time good for 4
th overall.

Congratulations to Gavin on winning all the classes.  Thanks to James Cleave who ran the meeting, to Sammy for the catering and to all the others who helped make it a very enjoyable meeting.
The next 24 BOC is at Pinewood in April.

Chris

Gavin’s Eurosprort winner

Gavin’s car had an extra support over the back axle to stop the body going into the gear in the event of an accident.
