F2 - Saturday 12 September

Saturday’s second event was for the F2 class.  These are F1 cars with a free choice of chassis but with restricted motors - everybody used a JK Hawk (7 or 7BB) or a Mid America Eagle.  The 2020 Mack Chassis and the longer wheelbase 2026 Mack were most common.

Top qualifier was James Cleave on 6.903 followed by Josh Bryant on 6.943.  David Ensor was the top clubman on 8.088.  
The B final was a close race between Paul Harwood, Mike Thomson and top clubman Steve Rhodes, Paul won by just under a lap from Mike with Steve less than a third of a lap behind Mike.
In the A final there were rather larger gaps between the drivers, James Cleave again winning from Josh Bryant followed by Mick Metcalfe and Simon Scott.   Rather unusually, the 7 A finalists took the top 7 places.
