The first event of the weekend was the Production Challenge for Super Production and INTRO 32 cars. Some drivers tried Hawk/Eagle powered INTROs in practice but all INTROs used in the race were brushless.
In qualifying Josh Bryant took top spot with a 6.092 sec lap followed by James Cleave 6.176. The 7 Super Prod cars took the top 7 places, top INTRO was David Farrow on 6.873. The qualifying seeded the entry into two 8 x 3 minute segmented finals.
The B final was a close race between Steve Rhodes and Mike Thomson, Steve was only about a third of a lap ahead at the end. The A final saw James Cleave and Josh Bryant racing for the lead, it could have gone either way till Josh had to make a pit stop. James won by 6 laps. Simon Scott took third with a car from slot jumble! David Farrow was the only INTRO in the A final, he finished top INTRO over 3 laps up on Steve’s B final winning time.

This was the same car he used to win this event in 2022.
In 2022 he did 225.99 laps, this year he won with 225.22. As the track voltage was set half a volt higher in 2022, you could say he was driving quicker this year.
